Welcome to Wickenburg!
Just below Arizona’s mountainous country and an hour from downtown Phoenix, the western community of Wickenburg is a former gold mining town that rests on the northern edge of the Sonoran Desert. Abounding in natural beauty, our location continues to draw visitors to its quaint downtown and slower pace. The spectacular natural beauty of the landscape is nothing short of inspiring. The peacefulness of our desert setting offers an opportunity to unplug and gain perspective, something that is key to recovery.
Our Location
Spread across a 14-acre campus near Phoenix, the Claudia Black Young Adult Center is easy to get to but a world away. Cactus dot the landscape, fountains gurgle, and wildlife is plentiful. The setting may be serene, but there is plenty to do at the Claudia Black Young Adult Center. We offer, yoga, tai chi, and a fully stocked workout room. Popular lawn games are available, there’s a labyrinth for mindfulness and meditation, and we have a pool that is open seasonally. Meanwhile horses for equine therapy are housed just a few miles away on a nearby sister campus. But a picture truly is worth a thousand words, so the best way to see what we have to offer is to view our photo gallery for yourself.
